colaboration

Jemma has collaborated with other creatives on photobooks, exhibitions and cross-disciplinary projects. Through shared process and dialogue - these works become outlets for experimentation and collective expression.

Remember Nature: How Does Your Garden Grow

Group Exhibition

& Publication

Jemma Beaven, Kaitlyn Brockley, Emily Brackenbury, Bethany Harding and Hollie Jayne Harrison worked with Castlefield Gallery and Hulme Community Garden Centre to run camera-less and analogue photography workshops as part of their ‘Remember Nature' Event, working within the local community to share our skills and create work inspired by nature. The work was then made into a photobook,

'how does your garden grow', made using handmade and recycled paper, and sustainable riso-printing.

Simultaneously participating in an exhibition within the garden centre showcasing our work inspired by nature.

fact, fake or fiction: Imitator

A collaboration project with interdisciplinary design collaborators.

Through ironic storytelling and visuals, the zine explores how Al disrupts authenticity within art, therefore blurring the lines between fact (genuine human work), fiction (constructed narratives), and fake (Al-generated imitations). By our use of CCTV as a metaphor, we suggest Al is always watching (like a CCTV camera), copying, and infiltrating creative spaces, making it harder than ever to tell what's real. The zine becomes a 'game' on the surface, relying on the reader to distinguish what content is a fact, fake or fiction.

Beneath the surface, the zine plans to play with deception, forcing the audience to decode the truth behind the image and therefore question the ethics of Al use within art.
